Sensaphone Goes Wireless with 2800 Remote Monitor and Alarm Notification System
It's here! The first Sensaphone remote monitor and alarm notification system with wireless sensing capabilities.
The Sensaphone 2800 is now available to customers in the water, wastewater, agricultural and horticultural industries, among others, where facilities are often spread out across a wide area, making running wires difficult.
The Sensaphone 2800 eliminates the decision of stringing wires across rooftops or spending the time and money to bury them underground.
The Sensaphone 2800 features four wireless sensors with a range of 300 feet from the base unit. Customers can use unlimited repeaters to broaden the system's reach, extending the distance by 300 feet each. Like other products in the Sensaphone family, the 2800 is a standalone unit requiring no monthly fees.
The Sensaphone 2800 looks and operates like the 1400 and 1800 remote monitors. The key-pad commands are virtually identical to the typical commands on all Sensaphone voice products. The 2800 offers eight total inputs, including four universal inputs for hard wiring sensors and four more for wireless sensors. The 2800 also has built in high sound level monitoring and power failure monitoring.
Installation features plug-and-play simplicity, automatically detecting and configuring new wireless sensors. The Sensaphone 2800 can monitor operating conditions, including temperature, power supply, alarms, excess humidity, water on the floor and intrusion
The Sensaphone 2800's wireless capabilities make it ideal for applications in water towers, lift stations, farms, greenhouses and cold storage.
The new technology gives added monitoring options to owners and managers of greenhouses, barns, freezers, walk-in coolers and other light industrial facilities. The system provides alarm event and status updates via telephone and custom voice messages. Batteries power the sensors for up to three years, and the unit automatically monitors both battery level and sensor function for each of the wireless sensors.
The Sensaphone 2800 will withstand extreme conditions in its sealed, weatherproof and lockable enclosure, and the system includes a standard battery backup.
The product will start shipping in July, and orders are now being accepted. Don't forget that your first order of the Sensaphone 2800 qualifies for a special, one-time demo discount after completing the free online webinar training session.
The MSRP of the Sensaphone 2800 is $1,195, with sensors ranging from $185 to $295. All sensors include batteries.
A full line of wireless sensors is available for the Sensaphone 2800. Most accessories can be wall mounted with screws or double-sided foam tape. Exceptions are noted. Each accessory comes with appropriate AA or AAA batteries that will power the sensor for up to three years. If an optional AC adapter is added, the batteries will last much longer than three years. A few of the sensors must use an AC adapter at all times, and these exceptions are listed above.
Sensaphone 2800 Application Spotlight: Agriculture
Do you want to know what the temperature is in the barn? Or, the relative humidity level in the chicken coop? Want to be sure that the sprinkler system is operating properly?
Widespread facilities requiring monitoring can cause a wiring nightmare. Burying wires underground is a costly and time-consuming process. Running wires along rooftops is challenging, not to mention disorganized. Farm operators and growers often struggle with wires when monitoring barns, animal pens, storage areas, green-houses, and other facilities. Sensaphone's first wireless solution puts an end to this inconvenience.
Easy setup and no monthly fees make the Sensaphone 2800 ideal for operators of farms and groves to monitor changes in critical environmental conditions. The Sensaphone 2800, with wireless sensor capability, allows agriculturalists to avoid traditional wiring hassles because four of the eight external inputs allow for wireless monitoring. Because distance is often a concern, each sensor has a range of 300 feet from its installation point. Using repeater modules allows for extended reach. Farmers and growers can integrate unlimited
repeaters, each extending the signal 300 feet. The Sensaphone 2800 can monitor sensitive areas for conditions, including temperature, power supply, alarms, excess humidity, water on the floor and intrusion.
Agriculturalists receive alarm event and status updates via telephone and custom voice messages. The battery life of the 2800 wireless sensors is about three years, and the unit's two-way technology automatically monitors both battery level and sensor function. In other words, the system tells you when the battery power is running low. A battery backup is standard, enabling the system to continue operating during power failures.
Also helpful for agricultural applications, the Sensaphone 2800 withstands extreme conditions in its sealed, weatherproof and lockable enclosure.
Message from the VP
Sensaphone's corporate strategy continues to emphasize new product development. We made a commitment over the last 18 months to aggressively pursue new products and bring them to the marketplace faster than any of our competitors. We succeeded, and will continue to do so.
Our most recent product introduction is a significant and exciting step for the company. The Sensaphone 2800 is the first of our products to offer wireless sensing capabilities.
We're already preparing for the next new product coming in the early fall. Stay tuned.
As always, thank you for your dedication to the Sensaphone product line.
Thanks,
Bob Douglass
