Temperature: Built-in temperature
monitoring. The 400 ensures that you know if the temperature deviates
from what your collection requires. Temperature limits can be programmed
from -20º to +150º F (-30º to 65º C). Remote
temperature monitoring sensors are also available from Absolute Automation.
Humidity: Humidity level, especially
in humidors, is critical. Connect a Humidistat (FGD-0027)
sensor to your Sensaphone 1104 and maintain the perfect moisture
content in the air of your enclosure.
Security: Attach standard Magnetic Reed Security Sensors (FGD-0006) or an Infrared Motion Detector (FGD-0007) to monitor windows and doors,
and protect your valuable collection. You can even connect a pre-installed
security system to your Sensaphone, saving yourself monthly fees
paid to monitoring services. The 1104 will call whomever you choose
--you, your neighbor, the police, the fire department.
Flooding: With a Water
Detection Sensor (FGD-0013) installed, you'll know about any
leaks in your cellar or enclosure the moment they occur--before
they destroy your collection.
Power Failure & Surges:
Built-in monitoring for power failures. Know right away if fans,
heaters and humidifiers are not operating. You can program how long
a power outage lasts before you need to be informed, from 0 seconds
to 272 minutes. The 400 accepts back-up batteries to keep it running
for approximately 24 hours after any power failure. It has built-in
surge protection. However, Phonetics advises that you protect your
Sensaphone, and other electrical equipment connected to your phone
lines, with additional external surge protection. We sell the Isotel
surge protector.
Sensaphone Model 400 monitors four sensors--temperature, power failure, and two of your
choosing--and calls up to four 32-digit phone numbers when an alarm
is triggered.
The 400 allows you to call in at any
time to check on conditions. Alarms are announced in a clear, high-quality
voice. The 400 will share a phone line with an answering machine.
