What is a dual thermostat?
A dual thermostat has two independent temperature settings that may be selected through a low voltage connection to the FGD400 Cottage Sitter. When you call the 400 to turn up the heat, the thermostat will switch from its away temperature to the home or comfort setting. These two temperatures may be programmed to any level you prefer. (typically away= 50 degrees and home= 72 degrees) Unlike a normal programmable thermostat which changes temperatures according to time and date, the dual thermostat changes temperatures on your remote command.

* : This thermostat is equipped with a micro processor that analyses the system's past performances in order to optimize future commands. At the beginning of each cycle, the system sends a command that defines the portion of time the unit is heating during the next cycle.
** : Allows, through a Cottage Sitter or Freeze Alarm FAD2, switching from normal operating mode (Manual or Auto) to Vacation mode, or vice-versa.
*** : Function that calculates the optimum time to start the heating system to achieve the desired temperature setting at the programmed time.
