Optex RCTD20U Wireless 2000
Wireless Motion Entrance and Driveway Alarm from Optex
The Optex RCTD20U wireless alert system is great for shop and store owners, home owners, farmers and small businesses who need to be notified when someone or something enters the shop, building or driveway.
The Optex wireless motion sensor mounts easily wherever you need to know of people or cars arriving or leaving. The sensor can be used indoors or outdoors as needed with its IP54 rating. When motion is detected, a wireless signal is sent up to 2000 feet* to the included receiver. The receiver simply plugs in to a wall outlet wherever you need it and when it receives a signal from the transmitter it sounds a tone and the indicator LED lights up.
The receiver also has an on board Form C relay, rated 24VDC 1A, with an adjustable output duration, that can be used to connect to an external chime, strobe, doorbell or other system.
The transmitter can be set for a 17 foot wide fan style activation area, or a 50 foot narrow long range detection area.
Additional TD20U motion sensors or TS10U or TC10U transmitters may be used to expand the system. The Optex Receiver's are capable of working with up to 9 different transmitters and have three different chime tones to choose from.

ReviewsFloridaThe sensor is very sensitive so we put it in a box with the cover of the box attached to the arm of our gate. The sensor can only go off when the gate opens since that's the only movement it sees. It's a wonderful mechanism and now we always know when someone is on our property.Stanley
Wireless alert chimeAbsolute automation was a joy to purchase from. I received several emails from the company advising of the order status including tracking the delivery of this item. Would definitely purchase from this company again. The Optex wireless chime was easy to install and so far has worked as described which for me is to monitor vehicles coming up the driveway. So far no false chimes even though I have an over abundance of deer on my property. So far so good.Dave S.
Works greatInstructions confusing, just look at the pictures...it works great on the driveway from 150 yards or so. Only downside is in in the late afternoon when the sun hits it directly it does false alarm a couple times...could just be the 100+ weather we have had here the last few weeksBill C

Easy to hook up and useEasy to hook up and use. It was a little tough to get adjusted so that he alarm wouldn't go off every time the wind blew, bu works very well now.
Started using them 15 years ago and they keep on tickingI have three older units (15 years)and wanted to reinstall them in my new location, however, I couldn't get them to work. Ordered four more and on receipt discovered four unused dead batteries in a row had caused the problem. The 15 year old units work just fine and as you know I bought four more. The only hesitation I had is the programming logic is complex and not written well. The units are backward compatible as well.Patrick E
I've got this set upI've got this set up in my driveway and it catches every car that enters. Seems to work great.
Product- great, directions-poorWe both have graduate degrees- we're not dumb, but the instructions were so poorly written, we could not make the product work properly. It was only after calling the company and speaking with a person who explained how the product worked that we could get it to function as advertised. We love it- so far!Windole M
Works great!Works great!
Feeling Safe againUsed an older model Optex for more than 10 years. It worked well during that time but the sensor finally wore out. I purchased another brand from a different store not realizing that Optex was still around. After hours of tying to tweak the unit and get it to work properly, I gave up and returned to store where it was purchased. Then, much to my happiness, I found that Optex was still around and I purchased the 2000 model. It was easy to install and it is so nice to have a working alert system for our long driveway.
