In early December I ordered your Control Products Intermediate Freeze Alarm; it came in good time, but it was defective. The program would not read a “0” in a phone number. When I called about it, the representative said he would send out an immediate replacement since I needed before going away for two weeks at Christmas. It came in time; I returned the defective unit; and I was able to set it up myself. Now here’s the good part: I hadn’t been away one night when I received an email from a friend who had agreed to take an emergency alarm call, saying that she had received a call in the middle of the night. She notified the oil company as instructed and they came to check the next day. What they found was not a problem with the oil burner (the reason for buying the alarm) but that I had inadvertently left the door from the house to the breezeway ajar in my haste to put suitcases in the car. Thank goodness for the freeze alarm, which was located not too far from the back door! I had left it set for 45 degrees, and it saved everything: plants and pipes, and it kept out anyone tempted to intrude. The icing on the cake was no charge from the oil company.

Just wanted to let you know that I have thoroughly appreciated the property paging system I ordered from you in October. It has worked flawlessly. I am hard of hearing and never knew when someone was coming in until they were right on me or at my door. Now with the vibrating pager I never get surprised. I really love it!! My mom is hard of hearing as well so I have just ordered her one for Christmas. When she drives in to visit she has to search for me for five to ten minutes (I work outside on about 20 acres) or eventually call me up on my cell phone to find me. Now I am approaching her as soon as she drives in. She is been really impressed with it. I cannot wait for her to open her Christmas present. No doubt it will be one of the best presents I have ever gotten for her.
