1. Optex Wireless 2000 Components

   This is a great, easy to set up system. I purchased 3 receivers to use for various purposes around my home. System gives you lots of flexibility with 4 zones available with each transmitter. It is the type of home security system I had been looking for.

3. Trees a problem

   I wanted it to alert me in my shop behind the house but the signal wouldn't go through all the trees. I bought a TR10 repeater and put it in the house. Now the repeater retransmits the signal out to me in the shop and it works perfect.

4. Accurately Sensing Equipment

   I do like this sensor, it does perform very well and really is easy to use. You cannot avoid its detection. It will catch you. The only beef is, the sun's heat does set off the sensor since the sensor detects heat. This happens when the sun is rising and hits the sensor, thus outdoor use needs careful placement and adjustment even because of the smaller animals.

   Easy to install, transmits the 200 feet I needed. The only problem so far are false signals. It is chiming now but there isn't anything visible to activate the alarm. I suspect some adjustments are in order.

6. Seems to work good Now

   When it arrived my wife and I read over both information sheets and decided to set it up for Long Range. We followed the directions to a 'T', and when both units were in the lanai it functioned fine. Putting it on the fence post 65 feet away and got nothing. I planned on sending it back, but no refund so I was going to request a different model. The man at the AA company explained that that was a common complaint and described how to rectify that situation. I didn't get it but my wife understood what the guy was explaining and she somehow moved the plastic shield that covers the eye. We reset the function and when installing it back onto the fence post it works fine. Too bad the instructions didn't include that 'fix'. could have saved a lot of angst.

7. Great for my small shop

   I own a small shop where I am often in the back room organizing and found I often didn't hear the bell that was attached to my front entrance. After talking to the online support here, I was directed to this unit and have been very happy since. I can take the chime with me wherever I go and still hear when a customer comes in the front door.

8. Lets me sleep better.

   I am using this to detect if my mother (with Alzheimer)leaves her room at night. I just mounted it over her door and I keep the chime box in my room. If she wanders in the night I am woke up with the chime. Works perfect for my needs, and the sales lady was so helpful helping me pick this model.

    I purchased one of these systems six years ago. I live in a rural area and always had people show up at my front door without any advance warning. Not anymore. This system detects cars or people entering my driveway. I liked the system so much I purchased two more systems for Christmas presents.
