Weatherproof wireless indoor/outdoor Sensor Transmitter mounts easily wherever you need to know of people or cars arriving or leaving. The receiver may be placed anywhere in your home or office to announce the arrival of visitors.
The Optex TD-20U Sensor and Transmitter component is completely sealed for use in all seasons. Rain, snow, sleet etc. will not affect the sensor. The built-in infrared sensor will detect moving warmth such as cars, people etc. which cross in front of it. The transmitter will then send a wireless signal up to 2000 feet to the Optex RC-20U Receiver which will chime as well as activate the built-in relay control.
The Optex Receiver's are capable of working with up to 12 different transmitters and have three different chime tones to choose from.

The sensor is very sensitive so we put it in a box with the cover of the box attached to the arm of our gate. The sensor can only go off when the gate opens since that's the only movement it sees. It's a wonderful mechanism and now we always know when someone is on our property.

Absolute automation was a joy to purchase from. I received several emails from the company advising of the order status including tracking the delivery of this item. Would definitely purchase from this company again.
The Optex wireless chime was easy to install and so far has worked as described which for me is to monitor vehicles coming up the driveway. So far no false chimes even though I have an over abundance of deer on my property. So far so good.

Instructions confusing, just look at the pictures...it works great on the driveway from 150 yards or so. Only downside is in in the late afternoon when the sun hits it directly it does false alarm a couple times...could just be the 100+ weather we have had here the last few weeks

Easy to hook up and use. It was a little tough to get adjusted so that he alarm wouldn't go off every time the wind blew, bu works very well now.

I have three older units (15 years)and wanted to reinstall them in my new location, however, I couldn't get them to work. Ordered four more and on receipt discovered four unused dead batteries in a row had caused the problem. The 15 year old units work just fine and as you know I bought four more. The only hesitation I had is the programming logic is complex and not written well. The units are backward compatible as well.

I've got this set up in my driveway and it catches every car that enters. Seems to work great.

We both have graduate degrees- we're not dumb, but the instructions were so poorly written, we could not make the product work properly. It was only after calling the company and speaking with a person who explained how the product worked that we could get it to function as advertised. We love it- so far!

Used an older model Optex for more than 10 years. It worked well during that time but the sensor finally wore out. I purchased another brand from a different store not realizing that Optex was still around. After hours of tying to tweak the unit and get it to work properly, I gave up and returned to store where it was purchased. Then, much to my happiness, I found that Optex was still around and I purchased the 2000 model. It was easy to install and it is so nice to have a working alert system for our long driveway.
